The story
The fire has opinions tonight โ small crackles, slow settles. Beside it, making a Home in an Abandoned Double-Decker Bus Potato Soup in the Storm unfolds the way good evenings do: without a schedule.
Crackling wood, slow shadows on the wall, tea going lukewarm because the chair is too comfortable.
Stay until the logs settle once more. The evening isn't finished with you yet.

About this episode
An abandoned double-decker bus becomes a home on a stormy night in the forest, its stovepipe rising over the roof, the fire just lit beneath it ๐ฒ Ghibli style ASMR: potato soup ladled into cream mugs, a candlelit folding table, a bed platform on the upper deck, and rain running down the glass in sheets.
A torch clicks on and its beam fills with falling rain. At the end of the path the old burgundy double-decker stands rusting among the trees, and the father shoulders the stiff door open, light sweeping over a dusty aisle and empty rows of seats. The mother and girl climb in out of the storm; wet coats go over the ceiling handrails, four pairs of boots line up by the step.
Then the bus starts to breathe again. Cloth bundles open across the floor โ tools, provisions, a folded map โ and the girl runs her hand up the narrow staircase her family will keep just as it is. A cast-iron stove takes its place below, its pipe fitted out through the side panel and raised past the upper windows into the rain. Fire catches, amber light floods the lower deck, cream curtains slide across the windows and the folding table clicks open under a brass lantern.
Upstairs, a mattress, blankets and two pillows turn the old top deck into a bedroom. Down below, potato soup blurs the windows from inside while the storm streaks them from out; it is ladled steaming into cream mugs at the candlelit table, the girl wrapping her hands around a darker mug of her own. The three of them end under one blanket, watching the rain ease, while outside a small campfire settles to embers by the door and both rows of windows glow warm against the night forest.
No talking. Just rain, a stove pipe ticking warm and quiet company.
๐ง Layered ASMR: a torch clicking on in the rain, a stiff door giving way, coats hung on handrails, bundles unwrapped on the boards, a stovepipe fitted metal on metal, fire catching in cast iron, curtain rings drawn, table legs clicking open, a mattress laid flat upstairs, soup stirred and ladled, mugs set down, rain flooding the glass, embers hissing under the awning.
Best with headphones. Made for sleep, study, reading and slow evenings.

does anyone know what she's cooking in this one? looks like a stew
i work night shifts and this is basically my wind-down ritual now, the storm sounds especially
the thunder rumbling in the distance while everyone's tucked in by the fire... i'm not crying you're crying
the way the windows rattle a little with the wind but inside stays so still, that contrast gets me every time
the small imperfections in the drawing make it feel so genuine
grew up in a house where storms meant blackouts and fear, this channel is slowly rewriting that memory for me
anyone know how long this one runs? need it looping while i sleep through tonight's actual storm
