A Rainy Day in Our New Cottage

Rain finds this cottage before you do, tapping first on the ridge tiles, then sliding down in long grey ropes past windows that are still learning their own house. This is the first wet day in a home barely settled - boxes not fully unpacked, shelves still bare in places - and there is something almost ceremonial about a storm choosing to arrive so early in a new life.
